ΣΠ Chapter of ΖΦΒ

The Sigma Pi chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded October 24, 1998 on the campus of American University by 5 illustrious women. Today, the Sigma Pi Chapter exists as a metropolitan chapter that currently has members at both American University and Trinity University. The ladies of Sigma Pi have participated in countless amounts of community service, including Martha's Table, March of Dimes, Studdard Baptist Nursing Home, and numerous clothing drives. Social Action is an integral aspect of Sigma Pi, and they express this through involvement in Voter Registration Drives, Zeta Sigma Social Action Day and even recent Presidential Debate Watching Parties for the upcoming 2004 election.

Women of scholarship and distinction, the ladies of Sigma Pi excel in and out of the classroom. They are leaders on campus in an assortment of activities. The Sigma Pi Chapter has also had numerous programs including a Congressional Black Caucus Session on Domestic Violence and Health Care at the 2003 Congressional Black Caucus Conference in Washington DC and events on campus that promote racial and ethnic equality.

Torchbearers of a Legacy, the Sigma Pi Chapter constantly strives to return to the roots of which our organization was founded. By community involvement, service and scholarship, the Sigma Pi chapter continues to strive towards this goal while constantly modeling the image of finer womanhood.
